Claim Jug Handle Beach to correct what we show. Once you have claimed it, what you tell us takes priority over anything we find elsewhere, and it stays that way.
Jug Handle Beach is a locals’ beach in Jug Handle State Natural Reserve, between Fort Bragg and Mendocino. The sheltered cove has deep sandy shores, high bluffs, and the Jughandle rock arch. The Ecological Staircase Trail climbs five uplifted ocean terraces through coastal prairies, bishop pine, grand fir, and redwood forests to the Hans Jenny Pygmy Forest.
