Lichen Estate is a winery on a 203-acre former sheep ranch in Anderson Valley near Boonville, with oaks covered in lichens. It grows only Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris on seven acres, organically, and makes still and sparkling wines, including a white-style Pinot Noir. Tastings are by appointment; lodging is a Craftsman Cottage or an Airstream trailer with vineyard views.
