Agate Beach is a secluded cove north of Mendocino Headlands State Park, with half a mile of white sand, offshore rocks, and panoramic ocean views. The hillside routes down are steep and hazardous; safer access is by boat or kayak in calm seas. Its difficulty keeps the beach nearly deserted and wild.
