About
A quarter-mile wheelchair-accessible boardwalk loops through a forest of century-old trees no taller than eight to ten feet. Acidic, high-aluminum soil on ancient marine terraces stunts them, and rare Bolander pine and Mendocino cypress grow only along this coast. Interpretive signs explain the ecosystem while the elevated boardwalk protects the fragile habitat.
