About
The Temple of Kwan Tai in Mendocino is one of California’s oldest continuously used Chinese houses of worship, built of virgin redwood and sold to Chinese owners in 1867. It served the Hee family and local Chinese community, including logging camp workers, and was restored in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It is a California Registered Historic Landmark.
