About
Ukiah Brewing Company, formerly Mendocino Brewing Company, was California's first brewpub and the second in the U.S. Founded by homebrewers in 1983, it became known for Red Tail Ale and bird-themed names. It expanded to Ukiah, kept a unionized workforce, ceased operations in 2018, and saw a brief revival in 2019.
